Recreational therapists assist clients in developing skills, knowledge, and behaviors for daily living and community involvement. The therapist works with the client and their family to incorporate specific interests and community resources into therapy to achieve optimal outcomes that transfer to real-life situations.

Our recreational therapists strive to provide personalized therapy based upon the needs and interests of each individual client. Each of our recreational therapists holds a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in therapeutic recreation or a related field, has passed the national certification exam, and is in good standing with their governing bodies. Practitioners are either bachelor’s or master’s level clinicians who must sit for and pass a national exam before they can practice. Additionally, our recreational therapists consistently implement evidence-based practices and rely on best practices to plan, implement, and facilitate interventions.
